As the season begins to change and fall settles in, many of us look forward to all of the exciting things. For my family.. it’s the cool mornings, college football, my boys’ birthdays, hunting season, and the list goes on.. One of the annual highlights we get to enjoy is Homecoming Week at Tattnall.
Over the next several days, our campus will come alive with energy and school spirit. From superhero costumes to pajamas and, of course, Blue and Gold Day on Friday… students will be celebrating in true TSA style. But Homecoming at Tattnall is more than just a week of festivities… it’s an invitation. An invitation to return, to reconnect, and to reflect on the joy of the “good ole days.”
Our Homecoming traditions do more than create memories, they remind us of where we belong. They bring us back to a place filled with laughter, friendship, and community. In much the same way, God invites us to return to Him, to find our true home in His love. As Psalm 84:3 says, “Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself… a place near your altar, Lord Almighty.”
Homecoming reminds us that no matter how far we’ve gone or how long we’ve been away, we always have a place… both here at TSA and in the heart of a God who welcomes us back with open arms.
So whether you’ll be cheering in blue and gold with us this week or celebrating from afar, know this: Homecoming is more than pep rallies and crownings. It’s a reminder that you belong.
